Trinity is excited to welcome Mr. John Saleska as our new Director of Mission Advancement. John brings a practical background in program building, communication, and community engagement to our community.
John’s connection to Trinity is anchored by a deep personal faith and a rich family history within the congregation. He is the grandson of the late Rev. Dr. John Saleska (Sallie), who was a long-time member of Trinity. John and his wife (Tara) have been active members of the church since 2013. Their four sons—Owen (16), twins Micah and Luke (13), and Josiah (8)—have all grown up within the congregation and attended Trinity’s school, with Owen celebrating his graduation in 2024. Most recently, John was elected to serve on the Trinity Lutheran Freistadt Board of Lay Leaders in 2025.
John’s professional life has been centered on people, outreach, and stewardship. Through his ongoing leadership at CUW and his former role as the Youth Academy Director for Bavarian United Soccer Club, John has spent years connecting with families, managing large-scale programs, and communicating a clear, unifying vision to organizational supporters. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Educational Design and Technology from CUW. This background allows him to thoughtfully integrate modern digital tools and data-driven workflows into his daily work, helping to streamline communication and outreach efforts.
