Childcare Leadership
Melinda Neuenfeldt
I have been blessed to serve in the field of early childhood education since 2008. Throughout my career, God has opened countless doors for me to serve His children, equipping me through each experience along the way. My calling to this work has been shaped by years of hands-on teaching, leadership roles, and continued learning.
Before joining Trinity’s Early Learning Center in 2019, I spent over a decade teaching in early childhood programs, focusing on Kindergarten readiness and early learning through play, exploration, and nature-based experiences. I also have a strong background in Spanish and enjoy incorporating language and sign language into the classroom setting.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have served on advisory teams and have been part of NAEYC accreditation processes. I am proud to have led programs that have earned a Parent Aware 5-star rating, reflecting my commitment to high-quality early childhood education.
I graduated from Concordia University, Saint Paul, MN in 2008 with a degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Lutheran Doctrine. Today, I am grateful to serve as Director of Trinity’s Early Learning Center, where I am passionate about nurturing young learners and walking alongside families in these important early years.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Scott, and our three boys; Levi, Felix, and Peter. We love dance parties, exploring parks, and visiting the zoo. I also love fishing, and catching a muskie is still on my bucket list!
One of my favorite Bible verses that continues to guide me is Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Nicki Becker
Nicki Becker has been blessed to be part of the Trinity family since 2021, first serving as a caregiver, then as a support teacher, and now as the Assistant Director of Childcare. In 2025, Nicki earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT). Alongside her role at Trinity, she also works in a private practice, serving clients as a therapist.
Over the years, Nicki has found both love and a home at Trinity. Her passion for working with children grows daily as she helps them learn, grow, and experience the joy of God’s love. Coming to work and feeling Jesus in every aspect of what Trinity does is both her foundation and her motivation. She truly cherishes the trust families place in the team to care for their children and considers it a privilege to walk alongside each child in their early years.
Favorite Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 16:14 – “Let all that you do be done in love.”
Kayla Schulz
Kayla is the Infant 1 Lead Teacher and has been working in childcare for almost three years. She is currently pursuing her associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
A proud mom of three wonderful children—two boys and one girl—Kayla is deeply motivated by her family. Her children inspire everything she does, and their home is always full of energy and excitement, especially during sports seasons as devoted fans of the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks.
Kayla loves working with children because she gets to witness their daily growth, learning, and joy. She believes every child is unique and considers it a blessing to nurture and support each one in their journey.
One of her favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Colleen Mackie
Colleen joined Trinity in September 2024 and brings over 13 years of childcare experience, including seven years in a daycare setting. She loves seeing how children open up, get excited to share stories, and reach new milestones. One of her greatest joys is getting to know each child individually and watching them grow in their own unique ways.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family—her dad, mom, and younger brother—as well as her two cats and dog. Her hobbies include going to the gym, listening to podcasts and music, spending time with friends, and attending sporting events. A fun fact about her is that she loves to travel and has visited 39 states so far!
Her favorite Bible verse is John 13:7: “Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.’”
Jessica Heckert
Hi, my name is Jessica Heckert!
I love caring for all ages of children but my favorite age is the infants. I love snuggling them and helping them to develop and learn new things. It is so amazing to me to see them grow and change into their individual personalities! Seeing the joy and pure happiness they have when they are playing are times I cherish being a part of their world. I joined the Trinity Childcare team 06/2022. I have 7 years working with infants in a childcare setting.
My husband and I have been married for ten years this June. We are officially a family of three! We were given the tremendous blessing of adopting our five-year-old son this past April!!! We have a camper in the WI Dells area and go camping as much as we can. We also love traveling but my two favorite places we have been so far are Sanibel Island Florida, and Sedona Arizona. I love photography and it is a hobby of mine. I love all animals but right now, elephants are my favorite!
One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called, according to his purpose.”
I am very excited at the opportunity to serve here at Trinity Childcare, caring for the babies in the infant classroom.

I’ve been a member of the Trinity team since August 2021. My husband and I have been together since 2001 and we have two children. Nadia joined the Trinity Early Learning Center team in February 2025, where she continues to bring warmth, patience, and a playful spirit to the classroom. Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking, shopping, and building intricate LEGO sets. Her favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 4:17: “But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me.
