Office
Catrina Kagerbauer
Catrina has been part of the Trinity family since 2011. She started as a childcare caregiver and eventually took on the role of Childcare Director in 2013, a position she held until 2019. Since then, she has transitioned into a new role within the organization.
Catrina’s journey is guided by her faith, as she believes that God equips those whom He calls. This conviction is reflected in her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 19:21, which emphasizes the sovereignty of God’s purpose over human plans.
In her current role, Catrina prioritizes excellence, efficiency, and spiritual well-being. She is dedicated to professional development, best-practices, serving others and fostering a nurturing environment for both staff and the community. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Catrina finds joy in spending quality time with her family, including her husband Aaron and children Xavier and Zoe. She cherishes moments with loved ones and actively participates in service projects that benefit others.
Outside of work and family life, Catrina enjoys a variety of activities, from outdoor adventures to indulging in her interests in cooking, reality TV, and Christian concerts. She also finds inspiration and growth through studying and applying the teachings of the Bible in her daily life.

Staff
Greg Black
Greg Black has served as school librarian since 2016.** Mr. Black had spent the last 20 years of his W-2 life in Information Systems at Funjet Vacations managing links with such trading partners as Disney and Southwest Airlines. So, it was an easy transition in his retirement to manage the computerized book/patron tracking system at the school and to perform the ancillary tasks associated with library upkeep such as coding book purchases and acquisitions – to say nothing of sorting and reshelving those countless returned books! Mr. Black has an MBA, but administers the library as a part-time volunteer. He is grateful for the considerable assistance in moving the library to its current location below the church sanctuary, as well as in making it the welcoming space it has become. Both of Mr. Black’s adult sons were confirmed at Trinity Freistadt and still reside in the Milwaukee area with their families. Mr. Black feels he has been abundantly blessed by the Lord.
Emily Sobacki
Emily Sobacki joined the Trinity Lutheran team Fall 2024 as the Strings Instructor. An Illinois native, Ms. Sobacki studied at Illinois State University where she earned both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in violin performance.
Having roots in the Suzuki method as a student, she further embraced the philosophy by pursuing teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Ms. Sobacki has served on faculty at several Suzuki programs in Illinois and maintained a private home studio. Additionally, she has coached small string groups for the Lake Geneva Middle School, and the Illinois Valley Youth Symphony. As a music instructor she enjoys making meaningful connections with students and their families. She believes that with nurturing surroundings and support, all children can learn to play an instrument.
As a performer, Emily has enjoyed leadership roles with the Lake Geneva Symphony, Beloit Janesville Symphony, and Fox Valley Orchestra. A chamber music enthusiast, Emily engages in frequent musical collaborations with friends and colleagues, including chamber music series, church services, weddings, and other special events.
Outside of practicing and performing, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, trying new recipes, and traveling. She is a Suzuki parent to her two children who study classical guitar.
