An observable Trinity Difference is how Trinity provides mechanisms for students to build independence, agency, and leadership. We do this in different ways… from how our students engage with work in the classroom, how athletes interact with coaches, how students greet visitors, and by offering a variety of ways for students to be in front of their peers, leading. Chapel has grown into one such way Trinity students lead.

  1. Each chapel service begins with a student performance. In the picture above (right), 6th-grader, Gracyn, plays Amazing Grace while accompanied by general music teacher, Shannon Krueger.
  2. Trinity offers many fine arts electives, including Chapel Choir and Concert Choir. Our chapel choir leads by introducing our hymn of the month. Hymns of the month are taught in general music courses. In the middle picture, the Chapel Choir leads the first verse of Thy Strong Word.
  3. Student Council (StuCo) representatives lead our liturgy and introduce chapel speakers. Generally following the One and All Rejoice order of service, our StuCo representatives will also lead the student body in prayer. In the picture above, StuCo President, Cynthia, leads chapel.

Trinity has invested over $100,000 in fine arts equipment, programming, and scholarships in the last 3 years. Every child in our middle school has the chance to participate in instrumental band, orchestra, choir, or the elective of their choice – no student is turned away on the grounds of financial hardship. In turn, our fine arts students are given many opportunities to lead programs, chapels, and other performances.  Soli Deo gloria!
