DESCRIPTION:Carols by Candlelight is a wonderful opportunity for women of high school age and older to pause amid the holiday hustle and embrace the true spirit of the season. With beautiful decorations creating a warm atmosphere\, attendees can enjoy uplifting music\, light dinner\, and sweet dessert\, all while reflecting on an inspiring Advent message centered on the birth of Christ. It’s a time for connection\, reflection\, and celebration. \nThere is no cost to attend but space is limited! \nREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Individual registration can be completed below. If you were invited by someone they should take care of your registration. \nRegistration deadline is Friday\, November 21st. Books will be available for purchase during Carols by Candlelight. \nA CHILD IS BORN! \nReflections on the names of Jesus  \n“For unto us a child is born\, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder\, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor\, Mighty God\, Everlasting Father\, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 \nThis year\, we welcome as our evening’s speaker\, Laura Sandretti. Laura is a speaker and author from Sussex\, WI. She has a master’s degree in Theological Studies and is a former high school teacher and women’s ministry director. Laura has been married to Chris for 33 years. They have six adult children (three biological\, two by marriage and one informally adopted :)). Her favorite child is her perfect two year-old dog\, Dexter. \nLAURA’S MINISTRY VISION & PURPOSE \nIt took me many years to realize that knowing about God\, Jesus Christ\, and the Bible are not the same as knowing God\, Jesus Christ\, and the Bible. Once I began to see that disconnect\, however\, I was not sure how to fix it\, or the mother\, wife\, and human I wished I could become. It is my prayer that I can provide encouragement and practical tips to help others bridge that divide. It is my hope that my writing and speaking will broaden your understanding of what you think about yourself and what you deeply believe about God\, because those two things determine how we think\, talk\, and treat others. Jesus’ finished work on the cross is not abstract hope for “good Christians.” It is felt peace and freedom that is meant to be realized in every Christ-followers’ actual life.

DESCRIPTION:Occurs: Every 5th Sunday of the Month  \nThe Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) at Trinity has designated each 5th Sunday of the month as Mite Sunday — a special opportunity to support gospel-centered mission work in our community and beyond. \n🟣 What are Mites?“Mites” are based on the Biblical account of the widow in Luke 21:1–4\, who gave two small copper coins—everything she had. Though her gift was small\, it was given with great faith. Inspired by her example\, the LWML collects small offerings (our own “mites”) that\, when combined together\, make a powerful impact for missions. \n🟣 How Do Mites Support Missions?Trinity’s LWML group collects Mites year-round through: \n\n\nIndividual mite boxes \n\n\nGenerous contributions from church members \n\n\nThe annual Mighty Mite Bake Sale \n\n\nTogether\, these small gifts total approximately $2\,500 each year — all of which goes directly to mission grants through the national and South Wisconsin District LWML. \nCurrently\, the South Wisconsin District is working toward Grant #5 — $30\,000 for Journey’s Lutheran School. \n🟣 What Happens During a Mite Month?Throughout the month\, Mite Boxes will be placed around campus. You’re encouraged to:\n✅ Drop in coins or a small offering whenever you’re able✅ Pick up your own Mite Box to collect at home✅ Bring back your filled boxes on the 5th Sunday\, when all the Mite offerings will be brought forward and blessed during worship \n🟣 Don’t Forget — Wear Purple!On each 5th Sunday\, everyone is invited to wear purple in support of LWML and its mission efforts!
