DESCRIPTION:Occurs: Every 5th Sunday of the Month  \nThe Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) at Trinity has designated each 5th Sunday of the month as Mite Sunday — a special opportunity to support gospel-centered mission work in our community and beyond. \n🟣 What are Mites?“Mites” are based on the Biblical account of the widow in Luke 21:1–4\, who gave two small copper coins—everything she had. Though her gift was small\, it was given with great faith. Inspired by her example\, the LWML collects small offerings (our own “mites”) that\, when combined together\, make a powerful impact for missions. \n🟣 How Do Mites Support Missions?Trinity’s LWML group collects Mites year-round through: \n\n\nIndividual mite boxes \n\n\nGenerous contributions from church members \n\n\nThe annual Mighty Mite Bake Sale \n\n\nTogether\, these small gifts total approximately $2\,500 each year — all of which goes directly to mission grants through the national and South Wisconsin District LWML. \nCurrently\, the South Wisconsin District is working toward Grant #5 — $30\,000 for Journey’s Lutheran School. \n🟣 What Happens During a Mite Month?Throughout the month\, Mite Boxes will be placed around campus. You’re encouraged to:\n✅ Drop in coins or a small offering whenever you’re able✅ Pick up your own Mite Box to collect at home✅ Bring back your filled boxes on the 5th Sunday\, when all the Mite offerings will be brought forward and blessed during worship \n🟣 Don’t Forget — Wear Purple!On each 5th Sunday\, everyone is invited to wear purple in support of LWML and its mission efforts!

DESCRIPTION:Modern Heresies You Hear Everyday – Lent Bible Study Series\nJoin national speaker and Trinity faculty member Ryan Hansen in an examination of false teachings that pervade our culture\, including catchy phrases like\, “Live Your Best Life” and “Love is Love.” This study will help us apply Biblical truth to popular beliefs about karma\, relative truth\, and much more\, as Mr. Hansen analyzes common phrases and even video clips from social media “preachers.” Join us in the gym on Sunday mornings at 9:30am from March 1-March 29th.\n\nThis study will expand on content that Mr. Hansen has presented at the National Youth Gathering under the titles\, There is No “You” in Truth and Tik Tok Heretics.\n__\n\nRyan Hansen has been a youth specialist for over 20 years\, serving in rural camp ministry\, urban mentorship at the Boys and Girls Club\, as well as a parish-based youth minister and Bible study leader. He is currently the 7th-8th grade Theology teacher here at Trinity. Prior to serving at Trinity\, Ryan spent 8 years as part of the Theology faculty at Milwaukee Lutheran High School where he received the Heartland Teacher of Merit Award in 2021. Additionally\, Ryan had the privilege of serving as a session speaker for the LCMS Youth Gathering in Houston\, TX and New Orleans\, LA.  Ryan is an elder at his church\, Living Word Lutheran. He is married to his wife Connie and has two teenage sons\, Silas and Ezra.
