We praise God for guiding us through this vacancy and for the faithful work of the Call Committee. The BLL will hold a special meeting to issue a Divine Call for our next Senior Pastor, and all members are strongly encouraged to attend. Please keep Pastor Schram, the Call Committee, and our congregation in your prayers as we seek the Lord’s direction and discern His will together.
Rev. Nicholas Schram graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2016 before earning his M.Div. in 2020 from Concordia Seminary St. Louis. His vicarage was at Resurrection Lutheran in Garden City, NY. Pastor Schram’s first call out of seminary was to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in St. Louis, MO, where he has been serving for the past 5 years as Pastor of Discipleship. He and his wife, Ariana, have a 2-year-old son, Nolan.
Following a Zoom meeting with the Call Committee, Pastor Schram came to Trinity for an in-person interview and was very well-received by senior leadership. He possesses skills and interests that meet several of Trinity’s current needs, including administration, policy-based governance, infrastructure and logistics. He enjoys engaging members of both the church and the community in programs and initiatives designed to encourage fellowship and participation in the body of Christ. Pastor Schram has a heart for Christian education, speaking passionately about pastoral support and presence within school ministry. Pastor Schram noted specifically that Trinity has one sign identifying both church and school – an indication to him of a strong partnership that should be celebrated and strengthened. He can be described overall as a good listener, compassionate, engaging, energetic, mature, thoughtful, and innovative. His style and personality seem to complement that of Pastor Lehenbauer well.
